Rain Fall
“Three to six inches has fallen, another one to three expected…”
There is a comfort in the rain
The rain that breaks the two month drought
That gently soaks the broken soil
And bathes the plants in gentle showers
There is a worry in the rain–
Rain that fills the gutters, floods the cellars
And swells the country creeks
The rain that falls in relentless hours
And haunts our sleep.
You are brave Kristin. This reminds me why I have always had a room mate since I was 18.
One night, it was the pot rack that crashed in the night. Another time DC booby woozy came from
the basement. It was a clock radio.
But one time it was a friends sister who was invaded by a teen on drugs in a ground floor bedroom.
